Just gonna add my 2 penny worth. I have a Scorpio with the 'e' box. Ford & others state it MUST be the ' Dexian (?) 3 ' atf , the rest just won't do.
Gearbox oil cooler ...lots of Granada's & Scorpio's had them factory fitted
(beneficial when towing) .So a srappy's might be a good place to look (you could probably use the pipes too), and jubilee clips will suffice (they are on my replacement transmission cooler rad & have been for about a year).

Mines a mk3 with a seperate cooler in front of the rad. The pipes to it are rubber fastened with hose clips. Works fine so you should'nt have a problem with pressure. Rabbit...
