Depends who fixes the problem
if you do it - just the parts and materials - about £40 for brake pipes and fluid
if friend ..beer money and parts and materials
back street garage £££ and parts and materials

main dealer ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ and parts and materials and VAT..,.could be £500 or more

the emissions failure could be down to short journeys and no fast runs ..accumulation of soot in the exhaust that is blown out during the emissions test when they rev it to 2500 rpm for 30 seconds

so give it a fast run day before test ..find a large road with an incline and give some stick

all the best.mark

February you said

Dpf blocked
Faulty injector
Knackered turbo (it had snapped the shaft)

i would imagine that would put a load of crap in the exhaust..so needed the run perhaps

chuck some wynns cleaner in the tank and "rag the crap out of her" 20-30 minute drive at 90c should be good to burn most of it out, dual carriageway or motorway would be best, on an "empty road"
is that rust spot new?
